Peritus.ai Expands Support of Cloud-Native Technologies for Developer Self-Service on Communities

June 29, 2021

PALO ALTO, Calif., June 29, 2021 — Peritus.ai, the AI recommendation engine for developer self-service, today announced a significant expansion of the cloud-native technologies it supports, furthering its mission to improve the effectiveness of open source and vendor communities as the front lines for answering developers questions on the most important software building blocks. Peritus now supports 29 open source and proprietary cloud-native technologies including Cloudera, Snowflake, Kafka, Helm, Rancher, Elastic, Cisco, Red Hat, as well as as well as other Kubernetes-as-a-Service solutions such as Microsoft’s AKS, Amazon’s EKS/ECS, and Google’s GKE. In addition, Peritus now has incorporated additional open source and vendor communities via Github and Slack with plans to support all Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects in the coming months.

The Peritus Assistant is a free Chrome extension on the Google Chrome Store that empowers community members to answer cloud-native questions on Stack Overflow and related product vendor forums. With the expansion of the technologies it supports, Peritus has now integrated over 27 million data points, including forum questions, video transcripts, and technical documents.

This large and growing set of data points encompass what is known as the Peritus Knowledge Network. Peritus Assistant provides individual users free access to this Knowledge Network, giving millions of cloud-native developers, developers, DevOps engineers, and SREs around the world access to advanced information and relevant resources. The recommendation system underlying the Assistant is based on a combination of machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) techniques that detect relevant content and context from community forum questions. A self-service benchmark for all supported communities is publicly available on www.peritus.ai.

“Peritus is rapidly expanding our Knowledge Network for all cloud-native products and technologies for developers to get help from experts they trust as they work.” Robin Purohit CEO of Peritus.ai. “This momentum fuels our mission to make developer communities the heart of faster product adoption of open source and open core products.”

To respond quickly to developer interest on new topics, Peritus.ai has introduced a new capability in the Peritus Assistant for users to request the addition of different communities and websites via the “Request forum” functionality. In response to customer demand, the company is also planning a Slack version of the Peritus Assistant application for public and private channels.
